about

Comebacks carry along, more usually than not, a bittersweet aftertaste unlike any other and supported by what we believe to be chunks of memories. Comebacks ought to be quick and hasty, short and rigorous.

With “Weighs Like a Nightmare on the Brains of the Living”, Katabatic cut all distances short and gently approach us, leaving no rock left unturned. Their maturity is spot-on and clenches to our skin. In this EP, we can find epic and fantastic figures, living together in a melodic near perfection state with constant weights, some of them commanded by candid dreams, others deriving from a daily torture made up of impositions and muddy routines. Five fundamental, continuous tracks that come together and instrumentally transpose what the voice can’t - or won’t.
